IELTS AI Tools

The AI tools are single-purpose utilities that solve one IELTS problem each — converting raw scores to bands, checking an essay against the marking criteria, building topic vocabulary, or rehearsing paraphrase. They are designed for short study sessions between full practice tests.

What each tool does

Band score calculator: converts Listening and Reading raw scores out of 40 into the 0–9 band scale and computes the rounded overall band from four paper scores.

Essay checker: marks a Writing Task 1 or Task 2 response against the four official criteria and returns the limiting criterion.

Vocabulary builder: generates topic-specific lexical sets with collocations for common IELTS themes such as environment, education, technology and health.

Paraphrase practice: rewrites question prompts so you can rehearse the paraphrasing that Reading matching tasks and Writing introductions depend on.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert an IELTS raw score to a band score?

In Listening and Academic Reading, roughly 30 out of 40 correct is band 7, 23 is band 6 and 16 is band 5. General Training Reading needs more correct answers for the same band — about 34 out of 40 for band 7. The exact conversion varies slightly between test versions.

Are the IELTS AI tools free?

Yes, the tools are free to use with an account. Paid plans remove the daily limit on AI evaluations.

What is a good IELTS band score?

It depends on the requirement, not on an absolute scale. Band 6.0 to 6.5 covers most undergraduate admission, 7.0 covers most postgraduate and skilled-migration requirements, and 7.5 or above is needed for professional registration in fields such as nursing and medicine.
