You are planning to organise an activity for a charity organisation and would like your friend to join you. Write a letter to your
friend.
In the letter, you should include:
• Explain what the activity is
• Tell your friend why you are organising it
• Invite your friend to take part with you

Dear Emma,
I have been meaning to write for a while, and now I finally have a really exciting reason — I am organising a fundraising walk for a local children's charity next month, and I would love to have you involved!
The activity is a sponsored ten-kilometre walk along the river path, followed by a community picnic at the finish. All money raised will support after-school clubs for children from low-income families in our area. I decided to organise it after volunteering with the charity last year and seeing how much difference even modest funding can make to young people's lives.
I would absolutely love it if you could join me — we could walk together, encourage each other, and hopefully raise a decent amount between us. You would not need any special preparation, and I can send you the sponsorship forms this week. I completely understand if you are busy, but it would mean the world to me if you could take part.

Informal persuasion letter. Be enthusiastic and personal — share why YOU care about the charity, then make the invitation
feel warm and personal (not pressuring).
Common trap
Bullet 3 should feel like a genuine invitation, not a demand. Use: "I'd absolutely love it if you could join me — but
I completely understand if you're not able to".
