Home ›IELTS One Skill Retake
IELTS One Skill Retake lets you retake one section — Listening, Reading, Writing or Speaking — instead of the whole test. It is only available if your original test was IELTS on computer, and you must book and take the retake within 60 days of that test. You can use it once for each original test, and not every organisation accepts it.
The facts on this page were last checked against official sources in September 2026. Fees and rules change, so confirm with the official source before you book or apply.
Acceptance depends on the organisation, so check before you book. UKVI accepts One Skill Retake for IELTS Academic and General Training on computer in selected locations, and Australia's Department of Home Affairs accepts it for eligible visas. IRCC does not accept One Skill Retake results for Canada's Express Entry.
Fees in other countries are set locally; check the official IELTS booking site for your country.
