These are IELTS Speaking Part 1 questions on exercise & keeping fit, with band 9 sample answers and tips. Part 1 answers should be two or three natural sentences that extend beyond a yes or no.
In my country, running seems to be the most popular form of exercise. People often enjoy jogging in parks or along the beach, especially in the mornings when the weather is nice. It’s an easy way to stay active and clear your mind.
I think it really depends on the person. Some see exercise as a chore, especially if they feel pressured to do it. But many find it fun, especially when they join group classes or sports. For instance, I have friends who love dancing as a workout, and they always come back energized.
The best ways to keep fit include a mix of cardio, strength training, and flexibility exercises. Activities like swimming, cycling, and yoga can be really effective. Personally, I believe finding something you enjoy is key, as it makes it easier to stick with it.
To keep fit, I try to go for a run a few times a week and also attend a yoga class. I find that running helps with my endurance, while yoga improves my flexibility and relaxation. Plus, I love how both activities make me feel after I finish!
